The purpose of this lesson is the analysis of the structure an author uses to organize an informational text, including how the major sections contribute to the whole of the text and to the development of the ideas written.
Throughout the lesson, the student will be able to:
1. analyze the structure of the informational texts.
2. relate portions of the text to each other and the whole text.
3. explain how the major sections contribute to the whole text and to develop ideas.
