Reading comprehension is an intentional, active, interactive process that occurs before, during and after a person reads a particular piece of writing. It is during the reading process where the text is identified and recognized as facts, or opinions, and where ideas, cultural identity, and genre are evidenced. Understanding what is being read will be the main factor that will provide the information from the text.
Throughout this lesson the students will:
read and comprehend different texts.
answer comprehension questions.
distinguish between fact and opinion.
