7.R.1 Read a variety of text and multimedia resources (when accessible) to explain ideas, facts, events, cultural identity, genre, and processes, supplying textual evidence and connections/relationships to support analysis and conclusions. Recognize fact vs. opinion and fiction vs. nonfiction as well as facts/supporting details from the texts.

Knowledge is power. This lesson is about learning about other cultures, important people and events in history, as well as how we validate our opinions.
