This lesson will teach the student two different types of sentence structures: simple and compound, and how to use each one for better oral communication. The ability to use varied sentence structure can make speaking more powerful and expressive.
During the lesson, the student will be able to:
- identify simple and compound sentences;
- conduct research about his/her neighborhood and present the findings orally, to the group;
- orally, summarize the main idea and important details of a research topic, using simple and compound sentences;
- create a play about a story given that includes simple and compound sentences.
