1.R.1 Describe ideas, phenomena (e.g., how butterflies eat), and text elements (e.g., setting, characters) in key details based on understanding of a variety of grade-level and read-aloud texts and viewing of multimedia with moderate support.

During this lesson the student will be able to enjoy listening and reading stories. The will read to understand and identify main idea. The main idea will help them to comprehend the lesson or message the author wants to send. The story elements will also help the student to get the most important details from the story.

During the lesson, the student will be able to:

  •  identifies text elements;
  •  demonstrates understanding of reading;
  •  make a connection viewing multimedia with readings.
